May 3, 2025: Hiking with KALAGNY 

On Saturday, May 3, KALAGNY hosted its first hiking adventure to the State Line Lookout at Palisades Interstate Park in Alpine, NJ. Thank you to everyone who came for our first but not our last hiking trip. It turns out some fresh air and a good view also brings us together. 

May 2, 2025: KAFSC 36th Anniversary Benefit Gala

On Friday, May 2, members of KALAGNY attended KAFSC's 36th Anniversary Benefit Gala. Congratulations to this year's honorees, Juju Chang, Nightline Co-Anchor, and Steve Cohen, Chairman, CEO, and President of Point72. 


May 1, 2025: Karaoke Showdown 

On Thursday, May 1, KALAGNY hosted the annual Karaoke Showdown with FALA New York and AABANY at Karaoke City. It was a fun night of competition and amazing singing. Congratulations to all the winners! We can't wait for next year's showdown!


March 27, 2025: Gala Sponsor’s VIP Reception

On Thursday, March 27, 2025, KALAGNY held its annual Gala Sponsors' VIP Reception at Seoul Bap to thank all our Sponsors and to provide networking opportunities with this year's Honorees and in-house counsel. KALAGNY's Sponsors allow KALAGNY to continue to foster a supportive and inclusive space for its members and to host its events. The Gala Sponsors' VIP Reception has been revamped to also provide networking opportunities with in-house counsel in an intimate setting, adding further value to our Sponsors. 



March 20, 2025: KALAGNY & APALA NJ Mixer

On Thursday, March 20, 2025, KALAGNY and APALA-NJ hosted its joint mixer at Soosanghan Pocha for a night of networking, good vibes, and good food with great people. Thank you to all our NY and NJ members for attending.


March 17, 2025: Women’s Committee Dinner

In honor of Women’s History Month, on Monday, March 17, 2025, KALAGNY’s Women’s Committee held its Second Annual Dinner at Hortus NYC. Thank you to all our attendees who came to celebrate, support and further promote the accomplishments of our female members. 


March 13, 2025: Women’s International War Crimes Tribunal

In honor of Women's History Month, on Thursday, March 13, 2025, KALAGNY co-sponsored the 25th Anniversary of the Women's International War Crimes Tribunal. It was an evening grounded in acknowledging the past and the challenges faced with seeking accountability for the war crimes committee against comfort women.



March 9, 2025: Women’s Comedy Festival


On March 9, 2025, KALAGNY Women's Committee attended the Knockouts Women's Comedy Festival held at Rodney's Comedy Club. The festival was headlined by Kiki Yeung, and included sets from Kaneez Surka, Macy Kwok, Vickie Wang, and Miss Lissa. 


March 7, 2025: KCS 52nd Gala

On March 7, 2025, the Korean Community Services of Metropolitan New York (KCS) held its 52nd Annual Gala at the Ziegfeld Ballroom. The event honored Chef Edward Lee and Dr. Peter Na. KALAGNY is proud to be a sponsor of KCS.


February 25, 2025: Seton Hall Schools APALSA “Better Together

Hosted by Seton Hall Law’s Asian-Pacific American Law Students Association (APALSA), Better Together is an annual diversity reception and networking event where students can meet legal professionals from diverse backgrounds, make lasting connections, and develop their professional network.  Better Together grows every year, with students, practicing attorneys, and judges always in attendance.  Jinny Lim, a recent Seton Hall Law alumna (Class of ‘24) and KALAGNY member attended and shared with the law students the importance of networking with local bar associations and affinity groups.


February 13, 2025: ADA Small Business Webinar

On Thursday, February 13, 2025, KALAGNY, KCS and Rivkin Radler hosted a webinar where KALAGNY’s current and past presidents Lawrence Han and Gene Kang spoke about The Americans with Disabilities Act to small business owners. 


February 13, 2025: Diplomat Global Project Panel

On February 13, 2025, KALAGNY President, Lawrence Han and Vice President Jimmy Kang, along with KALAGNY members, Gina Seong, Heesoo Park, Beth Do and Gina Faldetta, spoke on a panel before students from Jeonnam Student Public Diplomacy School.  The students were visiting New York as part of its 1st Student Diplomat Global Project.  The panelists spoke about their respective practices and shared their experiences as Korean American attorneys practicing law in the U.S.

February 7, 2025: St. John’s University School of Law’s APALSA Lunar New Year Dinner

On Friday, February 7, 2025, KALAGNY member, Megan Rha at St. John’s University School of Law’s APALSA Lunar New Year Dinner. KALAGNY President, Lawrence Han attended the dinner, along with Vice President of Communications, Christina Nguyen, and KALAGNY members, Regina Yoo, Hannah Yu, and Mike Sohn in support of Megan. 


February 3, 2025: Prosecutors Committee Dinner

On Monday, February 3, 2025, KALAGNY’s Prosecutor’s Committee and the Korean Prosecutor Association held its Annual Dinner and Membership Drive at Sam Woo Jung. Prosecutor and non-Prosecutor attendees networked over delicious food. Thank you to everyone who came out!
